This workshop is in-person at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore's annual Small Farm Conference. We will cover issues specific to farm tax returns, asset protection and other timely farm tax issues, generally, while also highlighting the important differences in tax treatment for "hobby farms" versus small farms that intend to make a profit. Attendees will gain a better understanding of what to think about ahead of time regarding their plan for their farm and tax preparation, and be able to ask better questions of their tax advisor.
