The USDA National Appeals Division (NAD) offers farmers, ranchers, and rural landowners a free and fair process to appeal decisions made by USDA agencies affecting agriculture and rural programs. Appeals are reviewed by an independent Administrative Judge, with hearings conducted in person, by phone, or through document review, and a decision issued within 30 days. Producers must file appeals within 30 days of receiving a decision and can contact NAD through its national or regional offices.
